Regensburg Cathedral, Stone Bridge, Old City Hall and Thurn & Taxis Palace are only a short walk away (5 - 10 minutes). Themed, guided tours featuring actors in historical costumes are organised by Stadtmaus

Relaxation and leisure activities
Just a stone's throw away from the apartment is the Danube - lined with leafy, green parks which are ideal for jogging or a leisurely stroll. Five minutes upriver is the Herzogspark, with its beautiful rose beds and Renaissance garden. From the top of the fortified tower in the park there is a tremendous view of the Danube and the old city rooftops.
A short distance downriver is the Stone Bridge, next to the medieval salt store. Traditional beer gardens nearby.

Sport
Fun and relaxation for all fans of water sports -  the apartment is not far from an outdoor pool, and close to the canoe club, rowing club and motor boot club. Along the banks of the Danube there are plenty of inviting picnic spots and little bays. Enjoy a dip in the river then relax in the sun.

Well signposted bike trails run along the Danube - in fact, they run almost right outside our front door. Routes suitable for cyclists seeking leisurely-paced outings as well as those looking for more challenging tours. Explore the Danube Bike Trail and the Tour de Baroque,  or check out routes in the picturesque valleys of the Naab and Laaber.
